Taster Session in Felt Art with Jennie Loader
Monday 20th May 2019
Where: Main Abbey
Join textile artist Jennie Loader on Monday 20 May, from 10am to 12.30pm at the abbey to create your own piece of textile art and learn the fascinating process of wet felt making. Using high quality, super-soft merino wool in a wonderful range of colours you will be guided through the process of changing fibre into a stunning textile.
During the session you will play with surface texture and colour by adding hand dyed silk, cotton and yarn. No previous felting or artistic experience needed – just come along and enjoy the process of creating.
The cost will be £25 to include all materials and there are a maximum of 8 places, so booking in advance via the abbey website is essential.
